Alfred Ackerley, whose residence was in Liverpool, was mentioned in a supplement to the London Gazette, published on the 27th. February, 1864. It mentions that he was 'Persons of whom the Company or Partnership consists' in connection with The Mercantile and Exchange Bank (Limited).
Alfred Ackerley was a sharebroker, and it seems he owned shares in this company. Whether they were his, or he held them for someone, I don't know.
