Joseph Aspinall is mentioned in a supplement to the London Gazette, published on the 27th. February 1864, as being what I think is a shareholder in THE MERCANTILE AND EXCHANGE BANK (LIMITED). He was a cotton broker, and his residence was Phoenix Chambers, Liverpool.
